2010…
Rewind to 2010… Independent live music venues in Bournemouth were pretty much extinct. Wine and cocktail bars were the norm - brightly lit, large spaces. The entire concept of Smokin’ Aces was to create a warm, welcoming environment where premium products, cocktails and service were the norm. A place where every single customer is treated exactly the same and everyone is made to feel like it is “their” bar. Because it is.
Today
Smokin’ Aces continues to offer the same warm welcome that we always have done. No dress code, no entry fee and no VIP lists - we treat every customer equally and always have done. At the same time, we are always looking to improve what we offer to our amazing customers - whether that is entertainment, products or facilities. Everything we do is in an effort to make the experience of visiting Smokin’ Aces an unforgettable one.
Upstairs At Smokin’ Aces
Upstairs at Smokin’ Aces is one of the most diverse experiences imaginable. Depending on which night you step through the door, the atmosphere ranges from a quiet, relaxed place to sip a drink and chat, to a raucous party with bar dancing and live music and DJs. Never the same experience twice, so make sure you come back regularly!

Downstairs - The Rogues’ Gallery
Head downstairs at Smokin’ Aces and you’ll find yourself in The Rogues’ Gallery. A hidden lounge bar with cosy seating, more subdued music and more of a focus on Irish whiskey. Ideal for date nights when you want to keep the conversation flowing, or the perfect space to book for private parties. Sipping a whisk(e)y in the in infamous Jack Daniels Lounge is a must!
